Ingredients
  

Cream Cheese Base

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Caramelized Pecan Topping

  • 1 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar or corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Allow the cream cheese to reach room temperature for easy mixing.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat until the mixture is light and fluffy. Chill for 15 minutes.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  • Stir in brown sugar and a pinch of salt, whisking until fully dissolved.
  • Add chopped pecans and stir continuously until they are well-coated and glossy.
  • Let the topping cool slightly, ensuring it remains pourable for easy spreading.
  • Spoon the whipped cream cheese base into a serving bowl and spread evenly.
  • Pour the warm caramelized pecans over the top, spreading them evenly.
  • Serve immediately with crackers, fruit, or graham crackers.

Notes

For a nut-free version, swap pecans for candied sunflower seeds. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
